A: Apex Industrial Park is a large industrial park in Southern Nevada , with nearly 10,000 acres of land zoned M-2. The Park was originally owned by a group of local private investors who recently sold their interest to a real estate developer. VesCor Development is currently under contract with several industrial end users and is scheduled to have its first lot fully developed by June 2006. Q: How large is the PARK and what uses are allowed? A: The entire Park is approximately 21,000 acres, of which nearly 6,000 acres are available for immediate sale and development. The Park currently is zoned M-2, which supports a wide variety of industrial uses. Additionally, as the Park grows, both commercial and retail development will be added to support the surrounding industries. Q: Where is the PARK located and where is the APEX administrative office located? A: The Southern portion of the Park is approximately 13 miles northeast of downtown Las Vegas and roughly 4 miles from the urban Las Vegas Metropolitan area. The Park is adjacent to Interstate 15 and US Highway 93, with access to both. What Utilities are available at the PARK and what is their timing? A: The Las Vegas Valley Water District provides water to Apex, as part of their service area. Power is available through Nevada Power from power lines and substations in or near the Park. Sprint will provide communications through a series of Fiber-optic line with available capacity. Wastewater is handled through individual septic and leech field installation on each developed lot. Natural gas is provided by SouthWest Gas and is available through the gas lines within the Park or through new connections as needed. Q: What development is currently underway at the PARK? A: A privately held travel-center developer has immediate plans to develop a first class travel center at the intersection of I-15 and US Highway 93, with an anticipated opening in the first quarter 2006. VesCor Development has selected a contractor and is under contract to build an entry road into Apex Central and its completion is anticipated within the fourth quarter 2005. Additionally, VesCorp Development has contracted for an entry road and railroad crossing to gain access to the Industrial Rail portion of the Park, with an anticipated completion date in second quarter 2006.
